Basketball Game Preview: Oneida Indians vs. Oliver Springs Bobcats + How To Watch

Oneida is 8-2 against Oliver Springs since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. Oneida has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Tuesday, Oneida was fully in charge, breezing past Oakdale 90-58. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Indians had established a 27-point advantage.

It was another big night for Grady Keeton, who shot 55% from beyond the arc to rack up 33 points and three steals. His big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Ben Gilbert, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Oneida smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Oliver Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of William Blount.

Oliver Springs' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Oneida, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Oneida and Oliver Springs were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February, but Oneida came up empty-handed after a 53-52 defeat. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
