Basketball Recap: Charlotte Latin's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Charlotte Latin extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Charlotte Tune. The Charlotte Latin Hawks snuck past the Covenant Day Lions with a 46-42 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Tune, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 22 points and three steals. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Wallace Roberts, who posted six points in addition to six steals and five boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

Despite the loss, Covenant Day had strong showings from Charlotte Hall, who went 5 of 8 en route to 13 points and six rebounds, and Avery Houseton, who scored 13 points and three steals. Houseton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played.

Charlotte Latin's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Covenant Day, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Coincidentally, Charlotte Latin and Covenant Day will both be playing Cannon the next time they take the court. Charlotte Latin will host Cannon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Covenant Day will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
