The Clinton Maroons will challenge the Tuscola Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Clinton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Meridian on Monday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Maroons haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Jaeden Bell and Cole Fentress were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Bell tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Fentress didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Bell a new career-high in strikeouts (four). At the plate, Bell went 1-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Fentress got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Colton Walker and Ryan Pine did most of the damage at the plate: Walker went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Pine went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Walker is becoming a predictor of Clinton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-10 when he doesn't). Mitchell Cornwell was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Clinton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Tuscola got themselves on the board against Heritage on Tuesday, but Heritage never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Hawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Clinton's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Tuscola, their victory bumped their record up to 8-15.
Clinton came out on top in a nail-biter against Tuscola in their previous matchup on April 10th, sneaking past 4-3. Do the Maroons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
