Basketball Game Preview: Kearney Catholic Stars vs. Adams Central Patriots

The Kearney Catholic Stars will square off against the Adams Central Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kearney Catholic will be strutting in after a victory while Adams Central will be coming in after a loss.

Kearney Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Hershey on Tuesday as Kearney Catholic made off with a 62-39 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-5.

Kearney Catholic found their leader in sophomore Danielle Seim, who went 8 for 15 on her way to 25 points and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Seim has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rylie O'Hare, who posted nine points and four steals.

Kearney Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Adams Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 44-35 to St. Cecilia.

Adams Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Kearney Catholic, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-9.
