Softball Recap: Port Chester Takes a Loss

Port Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 17-4 to the Greeley Quakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 14-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Port Chester saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karah Provenzano, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Port Chester's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Greeley, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Port Chester will challenge Ossining at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Greeley will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' match: after the Rams face off against the Pride, they'll take on Greeley again at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th.
