Gwynn Park picks up seventh straight win on the road

Recap: Gwynn Park Yellowjackets vs. Oxon Hill Clippers

The Gwynn Park Yellowjackets put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Oxon Hill by a score of 59-47. Given Gwynn Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Oxon Hill is ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gwynn Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Bevins, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Demarcus Daniel Jr. was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds.

Gwynn Park pushed their record up to 12-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Oxon Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Gwynn Park will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Largo at 7:00 p.m. Largo has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 234 points over their last three games. As for Oxon Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
