Soccer Game Preview: Point Loma vs. Scripps Ranch

Point Loma and Scripps Ranch are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2018, but likely not for long. The Point Loma Pointers will venture away from home to challenge the Scripps Ranch Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Point Loma is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering San Pasqual just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Pointers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch kept a clean sheet against Westview on Thursday. They came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of 2-0. The Falcons' winning goal came courtesy of Josh Bottomley.

Point Loma's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Scripps Ranch, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.
