Softball Game Preview: Colfax Falcons vs. Foresthill Wildfires

The Colfax Falcons will take on the Foresthill Wildfires at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colfax is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Colfax came up short against Bear River on Thursday, falling 11-2.

Colfax saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Stofleth, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Olivia Zanoni also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Foresthill played against Encina on Wednesday and won via forfeit.

Foresthill's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Colfax, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
