Baseball Recap: Brick Township's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Brick Township had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the New Egypt Warriors on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dragons also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Zack Martin was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Brick Township: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-16 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brayden Heatter, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Brick Township's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for New Egypt, they moved to 7-13 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Brick Township will challenge Notre Dame at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Egypt, they will face off against Matawan Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
