Basketball Recap: Butler County's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Hancock County last Monday, Butler County came back down to earth. The Butler County Bears took an 80-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (75), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Butler County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10. As for Breckinridge County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler County will challenge Grayson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Butler County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests. As for Breckinridge County, they will square off against Meade County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Meade County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matchups -- so hopefully Breckinridge County likes a good challenge.
