Softball Recap: West Seneca West Warhawks vs. Williamsville South Billies
West Seneca West extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They came up short against the Williamsville South Billies, falling 10-4. The Warhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Billies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
As for Williamsville South, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games.
For Williamsville South's part, Kate Budzinski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

Those three RBI gave Jurkowski a new career-high. Tatum Pischka also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Seneca West will host Williamsville North at 5:25 p.m. on Monday.
