Basketball Game Preview: GlenOak Golden Eagles vs. McKinley Bulldogs

GlenOak hasn't had much luck against McKinley recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The GlenOak Golden Eagles will face off against the McKinley Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Saturday, GlenOak came up short against Tallmadge and fell 61-53.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, McKinley's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 74-73 to Washington. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Tigers are ranked 74th).

McKinley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3. As for GlenOak, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

GlenOak came up short against McKinley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 77-67. Can GlenOak avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
