Baseball Recap: Northwestern Wildcats vs. Corry Beavers
Northwestern extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They came up short against the Corry Beavers, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Beavers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 two weeks ago.
As for Corry, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
For Corry's part, Karson Chamberlin made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Chamberlin also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Corry is 5-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Chamberlin was also big at the plate, earning two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Kamdyn Moon was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
