Baseball Recap: Ridge View Comes Up Short

Ridge View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Rocky River Pirates, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Cedric O'Neil made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases. Ridge View is 6-2 when O'Neil posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-8 otherwise. Jasiah Clarke was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Ridge View's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Rocky River, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Ridge View will head out on the road to challenge Westlake at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Rocky River, they will be playing at home against Wellsville at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
