Volleyball Recap: Auburn Beats Palmyra for Their Third Straight Victory

Auburn hadn't done well against Palmyra recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Auburn had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-17.

Emery Taylor paced Auburn's offense, picking up 18 kills. Taylor got some help from Emma Hyde and her 31 assists. Taylor was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Auburn's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Palmyra, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Auburn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Weeping Water on the 27th. As for Palmyra, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Sterling on the 27th.
