Softball Recap: Mount Everett Regional Wins Going Away Against Chicopee Comp

Mount Everett Regional barely beat Chicopee Comp the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 24-10 margin over the Colts on Monday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Aliyah Creamer was incredible, going 4-for-6 with five RBI, three doubles, and two runs. Those doubles marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Gilmore, who scored three runs while going 2-for-5.

Mount Everett Regional always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .592. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matches.

The win got Mount Everett Regional back to even at 2-2. As for Chicopee Comp, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Mount Everett Regional will welcome Hoosac Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chicopee Comp, they will challenge Southwick Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.75 runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of.
