Basketball Recap: Lake Mills Comes Up Short

Lake Mills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 65-36 loss at the hands of the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors. While losing is never fun, the L-Cats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Warriors are ranked 127th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakeside Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Paige Murphy, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadia Murphy, who to rack up 14 points and six boards.

Lake Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Lake Mills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-32 victory against Campbellsport on the 25th.
