Chula Vista dropped their record down to 9-6 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Olympian Eagles by a score of  2-0. The  game marked the first time this year in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.
As for Olympian, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-12-1 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
For Olympian's part,  not much got past  Alexandra Perez, who gave up just  three  hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Chula Vista off the board. Perez has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Olympian's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Kailynn Robeson, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  Robeson has  hit this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chula Vista will  face off against  rival Mar Vista  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Olympian is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Hilltop  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
