Basketball Recap: Monte Vista Christian Comes Up Short

Monte Vista Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 64-53 to the Hollister Haybalers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Haybalers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-44 back in January.

Monte Vista Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Hollister, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Monte Vista Christian will take on Seaside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monte Vista Christian is facing Seaside at the right time seeing as Seaside is stuck on a 22-game losing streak. As for Hollister, they will challenge Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hollister's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
