Basketball Game Preview: South View Tigers vs. Jack Britt Buccaneers

The South View Tigers will square off against the Jack Britt Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in South View's favor as the squad sits on 16 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Jack Britt has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

South View will bounce into Friday's game after beating Cape Fear, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. South View enjoyed a cozy 61-44 victory over Cape Fear on Tuesday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Colts are ranked 248th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jack Britt). They pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over Gray's Creek on Tuesday.

South View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points over those games. As for Jack Britt, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.
