Softball Recap: Black River Pirates vs. Norwayne Bobcats
Black River's last matchup with Norwayne could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Saturday. Black River lost 21-2 to Norwayne. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Mallory Eckert was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Remi Dieter was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Black River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. Norwayne has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Black River will face off against North Olmsted at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
