Football Recap: Dothan Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Dothan was riding high fresh off their 48-14 takedown of Smiths Station last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves took a 39-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Auburn Tigers on Friday. The Wolves have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Dothan still got an impressive performance from Aj Alexander, who rushed for 212 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Alexander is becoming a predictor of the Wolves' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 4-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Dothan's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Auburn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Dothan will take on Godby at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Auburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
