Baseball Recap: Jackson-Olin Comes Up Short

Jackson-Olin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 23-0 to the Homewood Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Jackson-Olin's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Homewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson-Olin will take on Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Colonels at the right time seeing as the Colonels are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Homewood, they will face off against Gardendale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
