Volleyball Recap: Malvern Has No Trouble Against Aquinas

Malvern's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Aquinas Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Malvern took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-6, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Whitney Smith and Ella Debo, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Ashlyn Bush and her 22 assists. Addison Mitchell controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Malvern's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Aquinas, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Malvern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Strasburg-Franklin on the 25th. As for Aquinas, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Central Christian on the 25th.
