Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnsonburg). Everything went their way against the Kane Wolves on Tuesday as they made off with a 23-8 victory. With that win, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.
Johnsonburg got a massive performance out of Meghan Tettis, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave Tettis a new career-high. Natalie Dunworth was another key player, going 4-for-6 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Johnsonburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Johnsonburg's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Kane, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
