Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Hamilton

Hamilton extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 3-0. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Saltillo Tigers 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since March 22, 2025.

As for Saltillo, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

For Saltillo's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Little, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those RBI marked the first that Little has brought in this season.

Coincidentally, Hamilton and Saltillo will both be playing North Pontotoc the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Vikings at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
