Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Antwerp back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Archers by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jefferson took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-14, 15-6.

Kate Brinkman paced Jefferson's offense, picking up ten kills. Brinkman got some help from Alissa Gallmeier and her 16 assists. Finally, Claire Brinkman kept Jefferson's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Antwerp, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will challenge Bluffton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Antwerp, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hicksville at 5:30 p.m.
