Soccer Recap: Tampa Catholic Has No Trouble Against Tarpon Springs

It's playoff time, and Tampa Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Tarpon Springs Spongers with a sharp 6-1 victory on Friday. The Crusaders' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last five games.

They hit Tarpon Springs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nina Clauberg (2), Kaylie Glover (2), and Mia Sanchez (2).

Tampa Catholic's win bumped their record up to 7-11-1. As for Tarpon Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9-1.

Tampa Catholic will face off against Academy of the Holy Names at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy of the Holy Names will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Tampa Catholic surely won't give up without a fight. Tarpon Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
