Volleyball Recap: Pius X Takes a Loss

Pius X lost against Lincoln North Star on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts came up short against the Navigators, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Thunderbolts have suffered since September 11th.

While Pius X was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-18, 25-16.

Lincoln North Star found their leader in sophomore Marie Paneitz, who had five digs and three aces.

Pius X's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Lincoln North Star, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.

Pius X has already played their next match (against Norfolk), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lincoln North Star, they will challenge Omaha Westside at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
