Columbiana dropped their record down to 10-10 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 10-4 to the Beaver Local Beavers. The Clippers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Beavers earlier this season, when they won 11-2.

Max Conway made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dan Goehring, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

As for Beaver Local, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Beaver Local's side, the team relied heavily on Paxton Grimes, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those four stolen bases gave Grimes a new career-high. Jhett Boyd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Looking ahead, Columbiana will take on Canfield at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Clippers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Beaver Local, they will square off against Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
