Baseball Recap: Goshen Comes Up Short

Goshen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Bend Saint Joseph Huskies.

Goshen saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Cline, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Goshen's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 22-6 record.

Goshen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, they will challenge Culver Academies at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
