Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Milford/Cissna Park). They blew past the Meridian Hawks 52-30 on Saturday. The Bearcats not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since October 4, 2024 (when they won 70-28).

When it comes to explaining why Meridian lost, don't look at Bryce Brown. Despite the final result, he threw for 194 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards and one TD.

Milford/Cissna Park's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Meridian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coming up, Milford/Cissna Park will head out on the road to take on Blue Ridge/Christ Lutheran/DeLand-Weldon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Meridian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Unity Christian/Mt. Pulaski at 7:00 p.m. The Hawks will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
