Volleyball Recap: Athens Bluejays vs. Edgar Wildcats
Athens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edgar Wildcats. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21.
Edgar can attribute much of their success to Brandi Halverson, who had eight digs.
Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Edgar, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Athens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss vs. Winneconne on the 14th. Edgar has also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Merrill on the 14th.
