Softball Game Preview: Averill Park Warriors vs. South Glens Falls Bulldogs

The Averill Park Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the South Glens Falls Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Averill Park has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Averill Park is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They beat Ballston Spa by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-3. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Scotties recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday South Glens Falls sidestepped Columbia for a 3-1 win.

Isabelle Ames spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, South Glens Falls saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Hay, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Averill Park's record is now 13-6. As for South Glens Falls, their record now sits at 15-3.
