Flomaton has gone a perfect 7-0 against Jay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hurricanes will face off against the Royals at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-7, which was the final score in Flomaton's tilt against Bayside Academy on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hurricanes have suffered against the Admirals since October 27, 2017.

Meanwhile, Jay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 21-14 to Chipley.

Although Jay took the loss, they still got scores from Jaymes Youngblood and Tanner Mandell.

Jay didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Bryson Morris, Mandell, and Cam Pierce picked up one apiece. Mandell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Jay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Flomaton, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-2.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Flomaton has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 159 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Jay struggles in that department as they've been averaging 187.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Flomaton was able to grind out a solid win over Jay when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 24-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
