Granite Falls has gone a perfect 10-0 against South Whidbey recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Granite Falls will be strutting in after a victory while South Whidbey will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Granite Falls got the win against Darrington by a conclusive 10-2. Considering the Tigers have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

South Whidbey couldn't beat West Seattle on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the sixth inning. The Falcons fell just short of West Seattle by a score of 11-10. The Falcons' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Lena Hegeness and Sophie Ziegler did some serious damage despite the final result: Hegeness went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Ziegler went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Charley Lasick, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

South Whidbey now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Granite Falls, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Granite Falls took their win against South Whidbey in their previous matchup on Thursday by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
