Update: Minnesota cancels winter sports tournaments, making spring decision later Friday

Coronavirus has canceled games across the country.

The Minnesota State High School League on Friday canceled the girls state basketball tournament and the boys section and state basketball rounds, effective immediately.
The state had tried to complete the games with limited number of spectators and essential personnel due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The MSHSL also said Friday it would have an announcement on spring sports later in the day.
