University Prep is 9-1 against Central Valley since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will welcome the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. University Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Central Valley will be up against a hot University Prep team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand Yreka a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday.

The result came thanks to Jacob Lindell's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

At the plate, University Prep's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Casey Wrathall, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. David Wenham was another, earning two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Central Valley came up short against Nevada Union on Wednesday, falling 13-3.

Central Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for University Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6-1.

University Prep skirted past Central Valley 7-6 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
