Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Coast Union

Coast Union had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 18-run drubbing they dealt Avenal on Friday. The Coast Union Broncos put the hurt on the Avenal Buccaneers with a sharp 18-0 victory. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 14-3 win the Buccaneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

The victory (which was Coast Union's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Avenal, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coast Union will face off against San Luis Obispo Classical Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Avenal, they will square off against Fresno Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
