Monta Vista was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Lynbrook on Thursday. The Matadors blew past the Vikings 11-2. The result was nothing new for the Matadors, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Sravik Sajja was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joseph Murai, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Van Chow was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two RBI.

Monta Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Monta Vista's record now sits at 11-5. As for Lynbrook, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
