Soccer Recap: Valley Christian Takes a Loss

Valley Christian managed to keep up with Archbishop Mitty until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Valley Christian Warriors came up short against the Archbishop Mitty Monarchs, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 534th, while the Monarchs are ranked 54th).

Valley Christian's goal came courtesy of Charles Sacks, who's now up to two this season.

Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Archbishop Mitty, they pushed their record up to 6-0-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Valley Christian will welcome Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Christian is facing Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory at the right time seeing as Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Archbishop Mitty has already played their next contest (against Saint Francis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
