Basketball Game Preview: Bound Brook Crusaders vs. Central Jersey College Prep

The Bound Brook Crusaders are taking a road trip to challenge Central Jersey College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Bound Brook came up short against Bernards and fell 68-61.

Meanwhile, Central Jersey College Prep played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by East Brunswick 80-49. Central Jersey College Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-23.

Despite the defeat, Central Jersey College Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carter Staton dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for Staton. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Chouloute, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points.

Central Jersey College Prep has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Bound Brook, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Everything came up roses for Bound Brook against Central Jersey College Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2017, as the team secured an 86-38 win.
