Basketball Recap: Larimore Comes Up Short

Larimore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Patriots and fell 67-33. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Patriots are ranked 18th).

Larimore's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.

Larimore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-39 defeat against Nelson County co-op [Lakota/Dakota Prairie] on the 15th. As for Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 69-44 victory against Hatton/Northwood on the 15th.
