Baseball Game Preview: Shawano Community Hawks vs. Seymour Thunder

For the second straight game, Shawano Community will face off against Seymour. The Hawks will be playing at home against the Thunder at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shawano Community is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Shawano Community is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since April 8th on Monday. They came up short against Seymour, falling 13-3.

For Seymour's part, Brandon Poch was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Poch has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Brady Poch, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The win was the eighth in a row for Seymour, bringing their record up to 14-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Shawano Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Shawano Community has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436.
