Volleyball Recap: Jasper Eagles vs. Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers
Jasper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Jasper came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 16-25, 25-23.

Kiley Helms and Aspen Lehman certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Helms had ten digs, while Lehman had 18 digs, 12 kills, and four aces. Lehman is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Jasper now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for Jefferson Independent Day, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7-3.
Looking ahead, Jasper will be playing at home against Osceola at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson Independent Day, they will host Verona at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
