Baseball Game Preview: Sharon Eagles vs. King Philip Regional Warriors

Sharon hasn't had much luck against King Philip Regional recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will host the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. The last three games Sharon has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Sharon duked it out with Milford on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since May 11, 2025.

Meanwhile, King Philip Regional fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Franklin on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7.

Zach Gebhard was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, King Philip Regional saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacoby Cady, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Alex Labell was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

King Philip Regional's loss dropped their record down to 11-4-1. As for Sharon, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
