Winston hasn't dropped below 18 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jeran Jones, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.

Meanwhile, Lee-Scott Academy didn't have too much trouble with Valiant Cross Academy on the road on Thursday as they won 52-34.

Bessemer Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Lee-Scott Academy when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 63-61. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Lee-Scott Academy's Haiden Harper, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Bessemer Academy still be able to contain Harper? There's only one way to find out.
