Benson has gone a perfect 4-0 against Santa Rita recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Benson is taking a road trip to take on Santa Rita at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Benson has three straight wins, Santa Rita has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Benson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Apache Junction on Monday as Benson made off with a 26-5 victory. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by exactly 21 runs.

Benson got a massive performance out of Sadie Webb, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and four RBI. With that strong performance, Webb is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylei Taylor, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Benson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .705. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Santa Rita came up short against Desert Christian, falling 24-3. The game marked Santa Rita's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Santa Rita's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Benson, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Benson took their victory against Santa Rita in their previous matchup back in March of 2020 by a conclusive 31-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Benson since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
