Basketball Recap: Manson Takes a Loss

Manson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 62-44 to the Tonasket Tigers. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tonasket's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kristian Jones led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Jones' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Tompkins, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards.

Manson's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Tonasket, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-5.

Manson will welcome Chelan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tonasket, they will head out on the road to face off against Omak at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Tonasket is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season.
