 The Academy won the last time they faced Wheat Ridge, and things went their way  on Thursday too. Everything went The Academy Wildcats' way against the Wheat Ridge Farmers as The Academy Wildcats made off with  a  13-3 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for The Academy.
  Tony Fabian and  Brennan Staudinger were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Fabian   struck out 11 batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  Staudinger   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). At bat,  Fabian  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Staudinger  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Dylan Akers was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Zack Johnson, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances.
 On Wheat Ridge's side,  Nathan Trione Jr was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 The Academy pushed their record up to 2-0 with that  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Wheat Ridge, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
